Read the sway
The crosshair drifts in a slow loop around the board. Watch a full cycle or two before your first throw - You are learning its path, not fighting it.
Time your release
Click or tap, and the dart flies to wherever the crosshair is at that exact instant. There is no wind and no luck - Only your timing.
Know the board
It is a real layout: twenty numbered sectors, a doubles ring on the outer rim, a trebles ring partway in, a 25-point outer bull and a 50-point inner bull.
Hunt the treble twenty
The little treble-20 bed pays 60, the biggest single score in darts. It is fenced by the 1 and the 5, so a thin miss pays pocket change.
Adapt to the growing wobble
Each round of throws, the sway gets wider and faster. Nine darts total - The early ones are the calm ones, so spend them well.
Score Higher at Dart Master
Release at the turnaround. The crosshair slows to a stop at each end of its sweep before swinging back - Timing your throw for those pauses is the closest thing to a still aim you will ever get.
- Start at treble 20, then retreat with honor. It pays 60 while your aim is steady, but it is fenced by the 1 and the 5 - Once the wobble grows, stubbornness gets expensive.
- Make the 19 your fallback. Its neighbors are 3 and 7, so a near miss there stings far less than one around the 20 - The same arithmetic real professionals lean on.
- Aim at the bull when the sway goes wild. Big wobble scatters misses in every direction, and the center keeps more of them on decent numbers - statisticians who studied dartboards found exactly this.
- Never chase a bad dart. Pressing after a stray 1 leads to rushed releases and worse timing; the scoreboard rewards nine calm throws, not three angry ones.
- Budget risk across your nine. Take the big swings early while the aim is calm and bank safer beds late when it is not - A planned nine beats nine identical gambles.
- Tap cleanly and stay still. Jerking the mouse or dragging your finger at release adds nothing - The dart goes where the crosshair was, so a soft, instant tap is the perfect throwing action.
